Sign in front of a church *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ RAISING MORALE - HOW TO BE HAPPY AT WORK An Easy Way to Start an Employee Newsletter ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An easy way to help employees bond and build company loyalty is to create an employee newsletter - written by the employees, themselves. Employees will look forward to writing and reading their own newsletter and feel more like they are all one big family. Follow these simple steps DECIDE THE FOLLOWING: How often will you print the newsletter? Monthly, every other month, or quarterly. Who will write the newsletter? You may want to assign responsibility to a different committee for each issue. That way nobody is overburdened. To start, it's best to have a supervisor head each committee. Who will receive the newsletter? How will you distribute the newsletter? How will you print the newsletter? - Most can be done on a company computer and copier. For very large distributions a copy store may be better. Decide how many pages you want the newsletter to be. This can also vary from issue to issue. What will you write about? Here are some suggestions. ***REGULAR COLUMNS*** (written by the committee responsible for the issue EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT - where you write a column about the life of a specific employee EMPLOYEE BRAGS - Announcements about births, graduations, marriages, promotions, etc of employees' families BIRTHDAYS - List any employee who has a birthday that month ANNIVERSARIES - Any employee who has a work anniversary WHAT'S NEW - Any news employees should be aware of. ***OPTIONAL ARTICLES *** (contributed by anyone. Be sure to write "Contributed by, or Written by below every title. People love to see their name in print.)
