WORDS OF WISDOM
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WORD OF THE WEEK
*** ORGANIZE ***
WORD OF THE WEEK ACTIVITY
*** When you live or work in a cluttered environment, your mind can't think clearly, and you spend a lot of time looking for things. Schedule a clean up and organization day. After everything is organized schedule time at the end of each day to put things away. You'll save more time and be more productive.***
QUESTION OF THE WEEK
*** What funny thing happened this week? ***
QUESTION OF THE WEEK ACTIVITY
*** When you look for the humor in every day life, you lower your stress. Keep a humor journal of funny things that are happening and of things you say that make others laugh. When you feel stressed, read your journal.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
*** "Whether you realize it or not, you are now experiencing your past choices. Your tomorrow depends upon today's choices." Jack Addington ***

RAISING RAISING MORALE
A Smile Maker Gift That Still Works
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you looking for an inexpensive thank you gift or contest prize that everyone loves?
Give a small Beanie Baby, (they're the stuffed animals that have been so popular for the past few years.) People still love them and will proudly display them on their desks. Just looking at the cute little animals make people feel good. Tie a small thank you note to the collar telling the employee what you appreciate about him (Yes, men like beanie babies, too.) or her.
You could have a contest that everyone could win - for example - everyone who increases their production by 5% in two weeks wins a Beanie Baby.
Every month or two you can have a beanie baby swap party. This, of course costs nothing and is a lot of fun.

BUILDING CONFIDENCE
To Fast Track Your Success, Get a Mentor
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Having a mentor is one of the most valuable success tools.
None of us are born smart. We can learn the hard way from our own experiences or learn the easy way from other people's experiences. Whatever you want to learn, there are people who are already doing it who will be happy to share their secrets with you and encourage you.
Why, you might ask, would they give their time and effort to you? Because it makes them feel competent, useful, and important. Most successful people received a lot of help. They know the value of learning from other people's experiences and are happy to "give back" what they received from their own mentors.
It often just takes a phone call and asking for 15 minutes of a person's time to see if there is a match and if he or she is interested in being your mentor. Then you can meet once a month either on the phone or in person going over your goals, your challenges and your accomplishments.
Learning from other people's experiences is far less painful than trying to reinvent the wheel all by yourself.
