MORALE BOOSTER OF THE WEEK

Little Known Secrets

-------------------------------------------------------

This is an entertaining way for people to get to know each other.

At an office meeting or a lunch party, give people a small piece of paper on which to write something about themselves that their co-workers don't know.

No one is to put his or her name on the page.
(For example, "I rode down the Grand Canyon on a mule." or I directed the play,
"Peter Pan" when I was a camp counselor.")

Fold the papers and put in a basket, then choose one to read. Everyone tries to guess who the secret is about. If no one is correct after three guesses, the real person reveals himself and gets a small prize for stumping the group.

CREATING CONFIDENCE
The Magical Power of Quotes

-------------------------------------------------------

By Harriet Meyerson

Here's a magical way to build your confidence. You can get motivated and inspired by a simple quote. Someone else's words of wisdom and can be a very powerful encourager. However, many times, when you need encouragement the most, you don't have these easy motivators handy. The solution, start your own "Quotes Book."

Buy a small spiral notebook that you can keep in your purse or on your desk. Whenever you read a quote that strikes you as profound, write it in your "Quotes Book." Since everyone is unique, different quotes will inspire different people. Only write the ones in your book that energize you. These become your personal motivation magic tricks, because quotes can actually trick your mind into thinking positive and overcoming fear.

It's amazing how much wisdom is contained in short, but powerful quotes.

"Whatever you can do,
Or dream you can,
Begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it."
Goethe

Keep your "Quotes Book" with you, add to it frequently, and read it every day. To get you started, you can review the past newsletters on our web at http://www.confidencecenter.com and click on "Past Newsletters." Each one has a quote of the week that has been carefully selected to motivate and inspire.
